The highest courage is to dare to be yourself in the face of adversity. Choosing right over wrong, ethics over convenience, and truth over popularity...these are the choices that measure your life. Travel the path of integrity without looking back, for there is never a wrong time to do the right thing.
I've decided that this will be a continual list of what touches me and creates any thought at all, some thoughts light, just landings of a skipping stone on the water, barely hitting the surface but creating ripples that reach far, some thoughts that are heavy, found deep within me, pulled out like taffy that are sticky and messy and unwielding and will soon drop where they will. This should be great fun.
I read the courage description this weekend and it stayed in my mind. It is a thought that arcs over my entire life. I spend time taking in different information, then I'm enthralled with noticing what jumps out at me, what sparkles, what part is most important to me.... Waiting to see why the particular thought is important is also enthralling. This thought of courage kept swirling around and around in my thoughts as a background while I lived the daily activities. So...there it is. Upfront
